The “No Entry” bug is an ugly image artifact that shows an obtuse Google symbol in place of your profile photo in the main search results when you delete your profile photo.
The problem was first reported in the Places forum in early July and the post has attracted 10 pages of comments and a petition on Change.org. Jean-Luc Benazet, one of the posters on the thread, has offered a temporary work around for the problem that works in some cases but DOESN’T solve the underlying issue.
Here are the resolution steps:
Peter Mcgowan noted in the post: “It appears there’s a workaround solution for images which are still in the trash (undo the delete, as per Jean-Luc), but nothing as of yet for the latter. There should certainly be a large (DON’T DELETE IMAGES PERMANENTLY) on the title – I’m sure a few people will be on this thread before they go as far as trying the permanent delete as a solution unwittingly making their situation worse.”
