    I have recently checked all of our branch addresses via Royal Mail’s postcode finder. I also exchanged a few emails with a lady working at the Address Management Centre, making sure that all data was consistent and up-to-date.
    Armed with this data, I then decided to go back to our Google Places Dashboard and edit all of our address data to be consistent with Royal Mail’s data.

    After seeing “Pending review” I expected the changes to go online soon, especially with Google Places itself referring to Royal Mail’s postcode finder (for making sure that you are using correct address details).
    I used the exact data found below:

    However going back to the Dashboard today (24h later) I am presented with the “Updated” status seen below:

    My aim is to try and have consistent data across multiple sources. I also have been in touch with Local Data Company in an effort to update our listings…

    Why is Google not playing ball?
