Google now requires that Service Area Businesses (SABs) reverify each and every location when they transition to the new-ish My Business Locations dashboard for bulk users.

While SABs have an ugly history of leading the charge in creating “ineligible” locations, I can see why it may be required. But I’m at a loss to figure out how can one do that effectively with thousands or tens of thousands of locations?

Does anyone have any advice or suggestions or anything that’s working for them?

SABs are not allowed to use the Bulk verification as far as I know.

Exactly! It’s even in the guidelines for bulk users. That’s the problem.

How does a big brand deal with what seems like an unreasonable expectation of manually verifying thousands of locations?

There is no easy way other than NOT claiming and feeding the data to Google through third parties.

Google’s attitude is that they would rather NOT have them then have all the spam they got from SAB type businesses in the past. Essentially they are saying their way or the highway….

SABs sort of fall into a very large crack caught between spammers AND the mapmaker folks who think that every business has to be a real place to be on the Map.

I am not apologizing for it. Just explaining it.
