My rank tracking thingy has been broken for a few years. Worked well under maps api but since then not so well. 🙁

You can remove it as seeing it makes me cry tears of failure.

I put a pillow over it’s head and shot it Mike. It did not experience any pain.

Rip Maptracker. You always sucked. But you were loved for a few hours once.

I think you can add Moz.com Pro ranking tracker to this list – I’m loving the legend they use for local search. If a query triggers a “map pack” it shows a pin next to the query – if your listing appears in that map pack the pin has a “sunburst” around it. It isn’t cheap – but if you can use the other features then it stings a bit less.Moz Local Rankings Example

Where2GetIt.com also has a nice “business locator” page-builder:

It’s geared toward enterprise clients. They did the “locations” pages for Denny’s and Chik-Fil-A, for example.

(Full disclosure: I’ve done a little consulting for them.)

Super late to the party, just saw this.

Michael took his weather report tool down several months ago. Some of is other tools as well. (Not sure if any are listed, but if so, check to see if still live.)

Places Scout is currently off the market as far as new purchases because they are killing the desktop version and going to an online version like Bright has.

That software is just so powerful that it would crash or conflict with lots of stuff on desktop, so with an online version they can get rid of all the support issues that were really on the host machine or user settings that were wrong.

The new version was supposed to be ready in Jan but I’m still waiting for my BETA so it’s delayed. But Mark has added some more programmers to try to get it finished, so should be soon. I think I’m in the next batch of BETA invites, so will keep you posted.
