1)You do not need to enter the email address into GFS. A fixed feeback URL is created that can be embedded into other emails. When the client arrives at the feedback page they can enter their email address.
2)The system will automatically ping the customer again in 3 days if there has been no response the first time and allows you to manually ping them as much as you want after that.
Although it is a good suggestion to ping them again if they visit your business again and didn’t fill out the first time… I will add to the feature list. Thanks for the suggestion.
3)However since you would be embedding the feedback page url into your email, you can ping them every time they have a visit.January 31, 2014 at 10:24 am #2629
I would really love to see a WordPress plugin that allows for automatically adding new customers to my choice of getfivestars Businesses from my Agency Account or to the client’s single Business account in other situations.January 31, 2014 at 10:38 am #2630
Could you mail Don or I details of what you are looking to do?January 31, 2014 at 12:59 pm #2640
So I need to either hand the client a card with the URL, or send it to them inside an email?
I use a Google Docs survey for the former, and Mailchimp for the latter. I do love the marked up testimonials page plugin feature though.January 31, 2014 at 1:03 pm #2642
How do you currently get them to your current Google doc? The same way you are doing that… just send them the url they will the survey and depending on the score you identify they will either be presented with a postive, please leave us a review page or a page without the review options. So if you are currently entering them in Mail Chimp then just send them the email via that and you are all set.January 31, 2014 at 1:17 pm #2643
Based on this thread, I just edited my Google Doc to better direct happy clients to the various review sites. Thanks! 🙂February 1, 2014 at 12:57 pm #2675
So like an opt-in form plugin for GetFiveStars? That would rock.February 11, 2014 at 11:20 am #2869
Hey Fellas! Lots of tools for Rank tracking, question before I go nuts looking at all of them…. Is there one or a combo of a couple that track Google, Yahoo, Bing and videos as well as directory sites? If not, please tell me which is best for Google, the other Search engines and videos.
Thank you much!February 11, 2014 at 2:17 pm #2874
Most of them have info on Universal Results that appear on the SERPs including video.

Brightlocal will look at directory sites.February 12, 2014 at 11:06 am #2883
I lied. Brightlocal only notes whether you are in fact listed in the directory sites and reports whether the listing is found, whether it is claime, whether a description and photos have been added and what the Review Rating is. It’s their Local SEO Check-up Report.February 27, 2014 at 4:07 am #3090
I’m a month late to this convo, but for SERP tracking we use MySEOTool and prefer it over the other options discussed here. It does allow geo-specific rank tracking. It captures SERP screenshots, and (unlike Authority Labs) reports for clients are a breeze.
