Here is the official Google+ Local page of a client: https://plus.google.com/+Demenagementexpertplus/posts.
Now, as the client has a YouTube channel (for years) at http://www.youtube.com/user/DemenagementExpert, we ended up with a Google+ page created automatically at https://plus.google.com/u/0/b/100934324166669460567/100934324166669460567/about (and linked to http://www.youtube.com/user/DemenagementExpert).
Question. How can we get rid of that latest Google+ page (that is a duplicate to me)?
P.S. To make it worse, the client also has a personal page at https://plus.google.com/u/0/111297284156164928121/posts, but that one is due to the fact that they use Gmail and Google Apps (and is thus the personal profile of firstname.lastname@example.org). We could live without it but it is there and we are thus fine with it.

That is not actually a duplicate. It is a different page type that is apparently autocreated when the YouTube account was upgraded.
It can be deleted by the owner at the https://plus.google.com/dashboard. That owner email can also be added as a manager on the Local page if they are not already.
Before you can delete this page, you will need to disconnect or delete any YouTube channels connected to it.February 6, 2014 at 5:16 pm #2771
Mike, deleting the YouTube channel is an issue… as we have 5 videos that got a certain traction there.
According to you, are we thus obliged to live with that second Google+ page (that is not local but that can still get reviews)?February 7, 2014 at 4:27 am #2774
No. You are not obligated to live with the second G+ page.
You can also delete the personal profile with no ill affect: https://plus.google.com/110425241596319603467/posts/JbvBHu3YzuQ
Why do you say that it can still get reviews? It is a G+ Page for Company. And as far as I know can not get reviews.
Adrien I am going to see if I can get a G+/YouTube person in here to look more closely.February 7, 2014 at 5:25 am #2777
Mike, you’re right. Only when I try to manage the page I see the Reviews tab… but it is not there when public.
All good then.

You should be able to contact YouTube Support and ask that they assist with disconnecting the auto-created Google+ Page from the YouTube Channel, and connecting it with the Google+ Local Page. After that is accomplished, you should be able to follow through with Mike’s instructions to delete the auto-created Google+ Page.

The review tab is reviews that the business has written. A business page can review other businesses which is an interesting tactic in its own right.February 7, 2014 at 3:29 pm #2809

The G+ and Youtube integration adds so many fun new wrinkles to all of this.
Good thing Kaleh is here. She really knows her stuff!February 13, 2014 at 11:38 am #2899
Did YouTube respond?February 19, 2014 at 5:35 am #2956
Mike, you’re just hot. YouTube has been able to help. The channel and the Google+ Local page are now well linked. Thanks!
