For the past 8 years, I have been running a viable SEO Copy/Web Content Writing company in Greater Toronto with a smaller emphasis on Local SEO. I have always worked out of my residence as the majority of the work/communication with clients is and always has been by phone, internet and/or meeting at their local business/Starbucks if they’re local and wish to meet. I am changing the direction of the business; although still offering SEO Copywriting Services, I will be focusing more on ‘Local SEO Services’ moving forward. My question is this: Given the fact that ranking in Maps and Organically for a phrase such as ‘Local SEO Toronto’ and the like is much more competitive than ranking for ‘Web Writer Toronto’, would it make a difference to ranking prominently in Google (Maps/Organically) for a more competitive term/phrase if the company’s address remained as a residence (Condominium) and/or that of a commercial address in Toronto? If the type of address does not matter (residential vs. commercial), does listing the suite/unit number also make a difference?
