I was working on a Moz local template and read the Categories section very carefully in the help area. I got a little unclear on adding the categories and wanted to make sure I had this right. From reading I took it as:

You should add each category as it corresponds to each search engine in the Categories field. Thus you may wind up with with nine possible variations as a result. Moz will then select the appropriate category as the listing is populated onto the different providers. Is this correct in my reading of it?

Another part of me made me wonder should I put in the Moz Local category only in the Category field and then specify the other categories using the Category Overrides section of the CSV file.

Any clarification would be helpful here.

    Thanks,
    John

I think David Mihm would be the best to answer this. I’ll ping him.

Moz will auto assign categories for the other directories if you just add their category. The idea of the override is if you think there are other categories that would be better.
