    Hi all,

It’s been a while since I have been active on the Local SEO front but just was asked about suspending/removing a website… (potentially only for a given time).

My initial thought was to simply point the domain to another IP address (hosting a landing page).

Since the website would still exist but not be linked to the actual domain, I assume that I also need to make some changes to the robots.txt file in order for Google to completely glance over the content?

I only have access to a WordPress admin interface and was wondering how to go about “wiping out” a website so that it can’t be found but can “reactivated” later would we wish to do so?

I always tried to achieve the opposite, so trying to hide a website is not something I am used to 😉

    many thanks
