We’re very excited to announce a new addition to our local curriculum, the LocalU Bootcamp at SMX East in mid-town Manhattan on September 29th!
It’s a full day of training that will take you through Local Search from top to bottom and allow you to go home armed with everything you’ll need to understand how it works and what you need to do to be successful for your own business and the businesses of your clients.
We began LocalU with basic courses for small business owners and then added advanced events for die hard local SEOs, but this is the first time we’re offering a workshop to help agencies and brands train and cross train their people in the intricacies of Local Search. We’ll start with the fundamentals, progress through the requirements for ranking well in the local results and wrap up with how to execute a complete marketing plan for local search success.
David Mihm will reveal his competitive research methods and tell you what you need to know about citations and the Local Ecosystem. Will Scott will school you on paid and social search for local businesses. Mary Bowling will show you how to make your website work from an SEO perspective and Mike Ramsey will share his insight on reviews, links and location pages as well as joining Will in showing you how agencies can easily manage their reporting.
There will also be “local” Googlers on hand throughout the day teaching, answering questions, helping attendees resolve problems with Google My Business and discovering how they can improve Google’s local products from the point of view of businesses.
