Google My Business Adds Performance Metrics to Direct Edit Experience
Colan Nielsen

Last week Mike wrote an article about the new direct edit experience for Google My Business listings. As of this afternoon, we are seeing it in the wild. What has us really excited is the ability to view performance metrics graphed up to a six month period with a year-over-year comparison.

It would be nice to be able to go back further in time, but 6 months is a good start, up from the old 90 days.

To find the direct editing module, you need to navigate to a branded search for a listing you manage. I asked around and it’s not rolled out to every business or account as of this moment. Once there you will see the menu that Mike shared in his article. Click on the “Promote” button and you will be taken to a new menu where you can access the performance metrics.

Clicking “Promote” takes you to this screen where you can select “Performance”, where you will see the performance metrics graphed out as in the image at the top of the article, as well as several other options.

The other options are fairly standard with no major changes to the existing way of editing business information, adding Google Posts, etc.
