With the release of iOS 9 and its increasing foray into local search, it is important to stay on top of who is actually providing business listing data to Apple.
To compile this list of both US and International business listing suppliers, I have used Apple’s Map acknowledgements and information that Andrew Shotland received via email last November.
I have confirmed that some of those on Andrew’s list that were not on the acknowledgment are still supplying Apple, so I assume that they all still are although until that is confirmed those on Andrew’s list should be viewed as “maybes”. Those that were on both lists are noted as sourced from Apple.

Much nicer looking list than I typically throw up (literally) on AMM Mike! Re the data providers that were listed in the Apple Maps Support email, we were only able to confirm that these partners were part of a test but no one was certain that their updates were making it into the Maps. Based on the Acknowledgments page I think we can call Yext & DAC Group “confirmed”, but the others are still in limbo as far as I know.
I have checked with several of them on your and they contend that they are still still providing data but I agree that the others are still maybes. I changed the article to reflect your noted uncertainty.
As to the beauty of the list, I copied and pasted it from Apple into Word into Excel and then into WordPress…. the pretty stuff was WP after I threw away the extraneous stuff.
This would be very useful! Thanks Mike for the compiling the list.
Good to know. Thanks for the consolidated list.
@Nate
Thanks!
The “Apple Maps Acknowledgement” links are using the mailto: link.
@Jim
Thanks for the heads up. I did a bunch of copy, paste, replace, copy, paste and then some more copy and paste all in an effort to get a table without my having to do table code. I managed that part. 🙂 Who knows where the mailto: came from in that process but I have fixed.
